Our Annual Presentation Evening was held on Friday 17th November 2023 at Shepley Cricket Club with over 50 club members attending.
It was another brilliant evening for which much thanks is due to Heather and Norman Raper and friends, and to Sue Roberts for her table decorations which added beautifully to the wonderful atmosphere provided by the room. After a delicious buffet, and a few visits to the bar, we moved on to the main event - the presentation of awards acknowledging the many successes of our various team and individual players.
Our winners were announced by Chairman Grant Richardson with presentations and congratulations being given by club President David Erving. A selection of photos from the evening are above, thanks to the photography skills of Ellie Erving. (Plus a a snap of Wilf Hartley who could not make it and received his after the event.) The evening was rounded off with a prize draw, which raised £186 for Children in Need, and a fun quiz.
Not everyone could be there on the night, some were unavoidably detained (and it’s hard to think of a better excuse) collecting their Dearne & Don League runners-up awards and celebrating promotions from both Division 2 (A team) and Division 3 (B team).
